Visual Effects Producer
I’ve found that Visual Effects Producing is very similar to Music Producing.
As a Music Producer, I may not be a concert pianist, or play the oboe, but if I can communicate the needs of the recording artist in a way that the musician understands, I’ve done my job. Similarly in Visual Effects, I may not be certified in Houdini or Nuke, but if I can communicate the Visual Effects Supervisor’s wishes in a way that the visual artist understands, and keep the project on track… well, that’s the gig.
